Our friends Carter and Matt were in town from Jackson (and New Orleans) this week while Matt attended a conference downtown. We got to hang out with them a bit and help them explore what Evanston and Chicago have to offer in the middle of winter: good food, shopping, the aquarium, and lots of snow.
Not sure when this began but Sylvia has really been working on staying in the lines today.
This afternoon we decided to go explore the lakefront which is pretty frozen right now. The ice and snow extend well out beyond the beach. The little hills are so thick over the water that you can hike a decent way out into the lake. We took the sled and had a great time.
